Emergency Alert System

NOTICE: Migration is underway to a new alerting system. As of 6/15/2023, new alert sign ups are paused until deployment is complete, on or before 7/1/2023.

The CUA Alert system is used by the Emergency Communications Center to notify residents and businesses of critical situations and provide information regarding necessary actions. With this system, a specific geographic area can be selected to send messages to those within that area. You can register to receive phone messages, text messages and e-mail messages in case of emergency. The system is TTY/TDD compatible.

Events that may generate a message from the CUA Alert system include:

Weather Warnings

  • Severe Thunderstorm
  • Tornado
  • Flash Flood

Emergency Events

  • Evacuation Order
  • Shelter-in-Place Order
  • Gas Leak
  • Boil Water Advisory
  • Amber Alert

General

  • Community events with road closures
  • Major traffic disruption
